Back in September Fox announced
that they were developing a Gotham TV Series that
will follow Detective James Gordon
and tell his origins and those of the famous city’s villains that have defined
it for the last 75 years.

Gordon and the villains with Batman
not being a part of the series. During their Television Critics Association panel Fox Chairman Kevin Reilly announced yesterday that
the series will include all of the classic Batman villains and heroes,
including a young Bruce Wayne.

show will arc a young Bruce Wayne from a child (around 12)
into the final episode of the series, when he will put on the cape.”

Comics is currently exploring Batman’s origins in the Scott Snyder Zero Year
story arc in Batman. Whether or not Snyder’s arc will influence any of Gotham isn’t known. What we do know is that we can also look forward to seeing
villains like The Riddler, Catwoman, The
Penguin, and the Dark Knight’s most known rogue, The Joker.

also confirmed that Gotham has a greenlighted pilot with Danny Cannon directing it. The series is from Warner Brothers TV with The Mentalist creator Bruno Heller at the helm is setting up
a writer’s room in mid-February with the full intention to go to series.

Gotham isn’t the only TV series that WBTV has in the works with the Flash racing over to The CW this fall and as Comic Related
