This is your Comic Maven Nicole D’Andria and today I’m showcasing comic book characters you’ve never heard of related to Archie Comics’ run on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Their series, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures, ran from 1988 to 1995. Based on the original TMNT cartoon, it featured environmentalist messages and introduced kids to political concepts like the Apartheid and China’s occupation of Tibet. Raphael even punches Hitler in the face! What more could you ask for?
