(NASDAQ: HAS), today revealed to Comic Frontline a first look at MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS #40 by the all-star team of acclaimed writer Ryan Parrott (Go Go Power Rangers) and Shattered Grid artist Daniele di Nicuolo (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers). This will kick off the first issue of the epic Power Rangers event, Necessary Evil, with the first appearance of a mysterious new team of Rangers that answers one of the biggest mysteries in Power Rangers history, arriving June 26, 2019.

The new series creative team consisting of writer Ryan Parrott (Go Go Power Rangers) and artist Daniele Di Nicuolo (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) commences a bold new era as the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are back in Angel Grove …with the White Ranger as their leader! But what happened to the team after they defeated Lord Drakkon? That answer  – and more – arrive in the first chapter of Power Rangers: Necessary Evil, as shocking secrets are revealed!

MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS #40 features a main cover by Jamal Campbell (Naomi),  as well as a special foil variant of the iconic Helmet Covers featuring the White Ranger by fan-favorite artist Goñi Montes (Sandman Universe), a series of collectible Trading Card variant covers by Kris Anka (Runaways), exclusive Story Variant covers written by Ryan Parrott and illustrated by Dan Mora (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), and more.

Now fans can collect each of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers in a new set of Trading Card Variant covers, illustrated by Kris Anka and designed by Dylan Todd. The MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS #40 cover by Anka features the brave leader of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Tommy Oliver, with an image of the White Ranger in action on the front, and all his stats on the back cover, including his team name, alias, biography, and details of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’ first encounter with Tommy as the Green Ranger.

Fans can’t miss the exclusive story available only on the MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS Story Variant covers. Written by series writer Ryan Parrott and illustrated by acclaimed artist Dan Mora, this eleven-part series will launch with the MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS #40 Story Variant cover and continue on each new Story Variant cover through issue #50, revealing never-before-seen details of the immediate aftermath  of the explosive events of Shattered Grid and changing the course of MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS comic history forever.

Currently, Power Rangers is entering its 26th continuous year on the air, making it one of the longest-running kids’ live-action series in television history with nearly 900 episodes aired to date. Created by Haim Saban and launched in 1993 with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the franchise continues now under Hasbro with the 26th season, Power Rangers Beast Morphers is currently airing on Saturdays, at 8:00 AM ET on Nickelodeon in the U.S.
